Colorado-based, new composer working with a "virtual orchestra"
making symphonic suites, passionate songs and ecclectic, melodic,
world-fusion sounds.
I am primarily a composer of orchestral music, but by no means do I restrict myself or my projects to just the symphonic orchestra. I like to write songs for vocalists of all kinds (from opera to EDM to hip-hop), and write music that brings extra life to any media: film, video games, albums or television and internet shows.
I've recently completed my first, classically-orchestral album, "Vignettes", a collection of short pieces meant to feel like an imaginary, cinematic experience. You can listen to the album by following this link here: "Vignettes" Page.
Currently, I'm working with an opera singer on a concert aria, for bass vocals and a small orchestra, with lyrics based on the Walt Whitman poem, "Youth: Large, Lusty, Loving". You can check out an instrumental version by clicking HERE.
I'm also working on a new album of sombre music and working on remastering a few old, lo-fi albums.
In this section you can listen to my demo reels,
check out my completed albums, and listen to an instrumental version of
the "Whitman" aria.

Experimental and Electronica Music:
Shown below here, you can check out a video
featuring my short piece "Farewell", including the written score.
This piece is also featured in my "Orchestral Demo Reel" at the very
end.
Hello! I'm Ian Tucker, a violinist, guitarist and orchestral composer based in Colorado. I love music and this love inspired me to study violin and music theory at the age of 11. I've performed in school orchestras, volunteer chamber orchestras and I've played bass guitar in a garage metal band.
Around 2004 I started experimenting with instruments, melodies and percussion, forging my own sound, making lo-fi music inspired by many genres (from classical to heavy metal, and electronica to acoustic-rock). I learned a lot about my limitations and I can admit I made a lot of rubbish.
17 years later I started assembling a more proper studio, I know much more about music production and I no longer want to write music just by myself, for myself. I want to share my passion for music and song with the world and help people bring their visions to reality and inspire other musicians to do the same.
Interested in involving me on a project or collaborating on a song together? Curious about my gear, software setup and cost? Then let's talk!
If you'd like to work together, I'll need to know a few things: a description of the project (subject-matter, genre, target audience); a timeframe for delivering content; the amount of content you'd like; if you need just music compositions or also sound-design and implementation; the gear/software we'll be using.
